Rough Terrain Container Handler (RTCH)
The Sustainment Training Center (STC) provides Maintenance Training and Instruction on the KALMAR RT 240V2/V3 RTCH to ARNG Maintenance Technicians. The training and instruction consists of Field level maintenance training to include troubleshooting techniques. The course is designed for ARNG Maintenance Technicians that work at a State Maintenance Equipment Site that have responsibility to repair the KALMAR RT 240V2/V3 RTCH. The instruction is 80 hours in length, Monday through Friday 0730 – 1630 each day for two weeks. There is no instruction on weekends. All instruction is a combination of classroom and hands on with the end item and special diagnostic gear oriented on repair.
An overview of the instruction includes: Introduction to RTCH Safety Requirements. RTCH electrical systems & diagrams/schematics. Repair of RTCH hydraulic brake system, calibration of steering, transmission, boom & top handler. Repair of hydraulic sensors. Repair of electronic control modular. Troubleshoot hydraulic & electrical systems. This course is only Maintenance Instruction, not operator instruction.
Must be an ARNG Full Time Maintenance Technician working in a State Maintenance Equipment Site in direct support of RTCH Maintenance operations or MOS 91B Qualified Soldier in direct support of RTCH Maintenance Operations.
