M1A2SEPv2 Abrams Technician Training
The Sustainment Training Center (STC) can train your ARNG Full-Time Maintenance Technicians & M-Day Traditional Soldiers in the Inspection, Troubleshooting and Repair of the M1A2 SEPv2 Abrams Main Battle Tank.
STC has developed an 80 hour Training Package. The core fundamental teaching point of this course is focused towards training troubleshooting and diagnostic procedures for the M1A2 SEPv2 Systems. The course ensures the student leaves with the knowledge to adequately identify problems and implement correct repairs. This maintenance training is not MOS producing, but is quality instruction that will provide your ARNG Maintenance Technician & M-Day Traditional Soldier with the necessary skill sets to maintain the M1A2 SEPv2 Abrams Tank systems.
Introduction to the Hull and Turret Line Replaceable Units (LRU) and how they are integrated into the tank electrical system. Troubleshoot the electrical system using the on board diagnostic system. Trace the power distribution system utilizing schematics. Perform maintenance on the various LRU's.
Must be an ARNG Full Time Maintenance Technician working in a State Maintenance Equipment Site in direct support of M1A2 Abrams Maintenance operations. Mandatory completion of the 160hr Military Technician M1 Abrams Maintenance Course (964-M1MIC) taught at Camp Dodge, IA or the 160hr Military Technician M1 Abrams Maintenance Course taught at Camp Shelby, MS prior to 2007 or the 80hr M1A1 Abrams Basic Hull/Turret Maintenance Course taught at Camp Dodge, IA. Or M-Day Soldier MOS Qualified in 91A.
