Sustainment Training Center
Support the Force, Win the War.
Developing logistics leaders and Army National Guard sustainment professionals. From individual Soldier skills mastery to multi-echelon collective training in preparation for Large Scale Combat Operations - we build the backbone of readiness.
The Sustainment Training Center (STC) provides collective technical and tactical sustainment unit training and evaluations designed to increase operational readiness for the Combatant Commander supporting Large-Scale Combat Operations (LSCO). The STC's Field Maintenance, Multi-Functional Logistics, and Medical training is focused on section, platoon, and company level collective training using the latest generation of MTOE equipment, current doctrine, and logistics enabler systems that support the Army's current force structure and is informed by Collective Training Center (CTC) AARs.
The STC also provides 18 skills-based individual sustainment maintenance training courses to ARNG dual-status Federal Civil Service Maintenance Technicians. By providing this specialized training, the STC supports the readiness and effectiveness of the Army National Guard's maintenance workforce, contributing to the overall mission success of the ARNG.
To serve as the ARNG's premier collective training center for ARNG Logistics Support Battalions (LSB) and Brigade Support Battalions (BSB). Delivering prioritized, rigorous, and realistic collective training, the STC will forge proficient units and adaptive leaders. Through the successful implementation of the key strategic initiatives, the STC will become an indispensable component in the ARNG’s force generation model, guaranteeing that the sustainment warfighting function is prepared to support the Combatant Commander and win on the future battlefield.
The STC will provide you with the mission, tasks, tools, parts, instruction, and the environment to improve your collective sustainment abilities. Our facilities are controlled by the units in training including physical security, accountability, and safety. The ARNG-STC staff will teach, coach, and provide valuable feedback and evaluations. At the end of a rotation, unit commanders will be provided with a lessons learned binder which will contain evaluations, AARs, briefing feedback, and other administrative information. The STC strives to provide the finest and most conducive training environment for ARNG sustainment companies.
Readiness Through Training
The cornerstone of combat readiness. Commander driven, rigorous, realistic, and performed to the established standard under realistic conditions. Limited time and resources demands that commanders focus their unit training efforts to maximize repetitions under varying conditions to build proficiency.
Continuous Transformation And Training
The Army continuously transforms to maintain dominance. Training must be equally aggressive. Our training provides leaders and Soldiers with the knowledge and tools to sustain and improve their operational proficiency in very fluid, operational environments.

Motor Transportation Operators (88M)
Motor Transport Operators, 88M's, are the backbone of the Army's support and sustainment structure, providing advanced mobility on and off the battlefield. The STC has a variety of equipment available to meet your unit's MTOE needs.
88M instructors cover every task seen on the battlefield today — convoy operations on varied terrain, mounted land navigation, load management for cargo and personnel, basic self-recovery, and field expedient repairs including towing. Truck rodeo training reinforces the always-ready approach.
Automated Logistics Specialist (92A)
A combat unit is only as strong as its supply line. We provide your Automated Logistical Specialists with quality training in both warehouse and tactical environments — best practices in maintaining and distributing food, ammunition, spare parts, and supplies.
Training at the STC's Supply Support Activity (SSA) includes processing requests, conducting turn-ins and inventories, PLL and SSL duties, shipping documents, RFID operations, VSAT operation, and Material Handling Equipment (MHE).
Petroleum Supply Specialist (92F)
Aircraft, trucks, tanks, and other Army vehicles can't run without fuel and oil. At the STC, experienced staff demonstrate how to supervise and manage the reception, storage, and shipping of petroleum-based products.
Training covers petroleum accounting, distribution equipment operation, Refuel on the Move (ROM) operations, emergency precautions, and where applicable, air refueling operations — "hot refuels".
Water Treatment Specialist (92W)
Water Treatment Specialists are primarily responsible for supervising and performing the installation and operation of water purification systems. Water storage and distribution is a key part of day-to-day operations.
During their STC rotation, Soldiers conduct water reconnaissance, site preparation, water treatment, equipment operation, distribution operations, and water quality analysis testing — and may even bottle the water they purify.

Continuing Forward
Since our founding, the Sustainment Training Center has set the standard for logistics education across the Army National Guard.
We measure our success not in throughput — but in increased unit readiness.
I would recommend training at STC because you are given the time, patience, and skills to refresh and learn your MOS better.
A/724 ENG BN
It was a great experience and really got the whole company to work together in ways we haven't before.
This is honestly the most in depth training I've received in Army medical care since AIT. This training put our units capabilities to the test and allowed us to expand and improve.
